I can't remember. I tried adjusting the pic contrast and color and couldn't bring it out either. This old bridge is out a seldom used road Northeast of Sissonville WV. Pretty cool metal work up there around the sign.

Bummer. Yeah I liked that metalwork but it brought to mind stapling a fine lace fringe on a burlap dress.

I saw that and first thought it was this bridge in Whitmer, WV I posted a year ago. Probably made by the same company.

Hm. Very similar but it kinda looks like a lot more words on the mystery sign.

I'll have to get out there again and take a better pic. I was as little rushed due to some dogs coming up behind me while taking the pic. Those bridges do look similar.

I looked on Bridgehunter.com for bridges made by Canton Bridge Co. Click Here. The one in Whitmer is over Gandy Creek.

The type of bridge in Whitmer is a Pratt through truss. Yours looks like the same type bridge even if it's not the same builder.

The closest ones to Sissonville, WV made by Canton are over Little Mill Creek and the Little Kanawha River. Neither one is yours.

I looked through the Kanawha Co listing and don't see it there either.

Join Bridgehunter to get it listed if it's not already there.

It could be in Jackson or Roane county. It is close to where all three counties connect. I think it crosses the Poca River just South of Harmony WV.
