New scoot for me! 2002 Aprilia Scarabeo 150
....with a blown motor
But hey, cant beat $250! Im thinking the Polini 177cc big bore kit to get it back up and running.
What can people tell me about this thing? Owner/service manuals? Parts sources? FAQs, etc?
Also, Ive read the rear case is just a rebranded GIVI? I have the rear case mount bar, its just removed. So if I buy a givi rear case it will pop on?

looks like MSRP was over $4k when it was new. Hope you can get it back on the road!
Hexnut is correct- it's showing a water cooled engine:

I got an '03 and love it! It handles like a dream and has such smooth power that amazes me it is just a 150. I hope you get yours fixed, and boosting the ccs to 177 sounds very interesting.

Thats an ok deal. But I think even $250 is pushing it if the motors toast!
But hey, NEVER look back! But its not really that bad a deal.
hexnut it is liquid cooled indeed. I believe he is talking about this:
DAMN thats expensive as hell! $529+ shipping and handling! BUT if thats all he needs to get it going, a 177 cc $779 Scarebeo 150 sounds like a sweet deal to me!
Although it may need more. That kit doesn't appear to include valves/ top end, which very well may be blown. But then again they can be replaced for a decent price. Theres not a lot to these little motors!
Well good luck and I'm interested in seeing the build!
