Oh baby. Looks like it ships in June. I might be saying goodbye to my delaminated StreetPilot screen.

I was scratching my head last night when browsing REI's web site and noticed the 62s on sale for $279. Now I know why. The Montana 650t looks like a winner to me (or at least something I'm hopeful about).
no word on CHIRP support

Not quite. You can talk back to this one, AND, get the final word.

Interesting. Not that I need another GPS, but I would like a larger screen on the little bike. Nice that it converts to landscape mode.

Looks to me like Garmin is about to drop the ZUMO line. This is the first non-zumo brand to target market Moto customers. Looks very promising for the Dual Sport crowed. Feature-function will be the real tell but from the looks of the web-ads it will be quite flexible.
Now, one of these with a 5" screen would be just right for my old eyes. Oh, and Bluetooth (A2DP of course) and XM WX weather and MP3 Player and . . . uh, uh, well...that's it I guess.

I'm glad I waited to replace my 60Csx. The handlebar mounts are cracking.
Why do you say they're about to drop the Zumo line? |

The Zumo is not rugged like this thing, so it wouldn't surprise me if they continued to sell both. Some people prefer larger screens.

Just a sarcastic comment (or wishful thinking) on my part.
Garmin has been very overt in their marketing of their other IPX7 devices and not listing them as "Motorcycle Friendly".As for the ruggedness of the zumo's, based on my personal experience, they are quite rugged.

Possibly, but I bet the Montana will redefine "rugged".
