Me too. Go figure. I'm glad I'm not the only one with this anomaly. Mine is fully charged after sitting in the mount for a few days. Not sure how to explain it, but at least I know I'm not the only nutter on adv

Sweet, as for fixing the problem, I still think it's luck of the draw. Doubtful they "fixed" jack shit.

I may be in the market for a Montana now. I've seen a bunch of sales lately. Do you think a new one is coming out soon?

Ouch! Did that one fall off and get run over, or did it tell you the wrong turn one too many times?

I love every motorcycle I've owned and even some that I haven't.

I just crashed down a hill 2 days ago

Helmet cam busted off

Bike rolled a few times

As for the Montana.. It was in its rugged mount where it's been for 4 months. Not a scratch

Another time I didn't put it in the mount fully and it fell out when I was going full blast along a beach. Not a scratch

The Montana is very rugged

Here's a video from other day. Edited blackout

It fell off. After a long period of misunderstanding we were getting along so well. It was too soon.

Here is another thought. This same BMW circuit is made so if it sees a voltage on the BMW outlet, it will keep this circuit energized. this is because there is a BMW accessory charger that plugs into that connector.

BMW does have a "known problem" (at least known by some BMW mechanics) where the bike computer will not switch off the circuit to the GPS (and other circuits), but it always causes the bike battery to be dead as well.

I had the same problem and don't have a BMW.

My Montana started doing an odd thing a few weeks ago and I been ingnoring it because it hasn't effected function or performance. When in the Rugged mount powered off. The battery level icon is over the Garmin logo and both are at the bottom of the screen. At one time the garmin logo was in the middle with the battery level icon below it.

Does anyone else have the issue?

btw it does the same thing if I plug it into the AC adapter to charge it in my house.

Dunno if it's an "issue", but mine does it.

I guess Garmin's developers don't power off their devel units. Garmin QC at it's finest... AGAIN.

Well, in all honesty I could care less if the Garmin logo gets covered up like that. In the grand scheme of things it really doesn't bother me at all.

A simple little software bug like this reflects poorly on Garmin. They should care more...
