Still checking out Quito and the normal everyday sights.... This woman was just heading down a mostly empty street on her way to sell her wares.

Sunday. Went to lunch with James, Hector and a German woman who has ridden her bike from Alaska and heading to Ushaia. Had a nice meal, as my ride is turning into a Vacation. My friend Arrived last night and I am in full Vacation mode, and ready to fly to the Galapagos Islands. Will be another part of my trip (without my moto), but am looking forward to the experience!

Hector is always smiling......

Young James and I have made our last moto ride together as we are going our separate ways starting today.

I think we caught him getting a bit teary eyed :loll

And early today I added a sticker to his bike......

I was telling Young James he was going to be crying in the days to come.... Had to demonstrate what that looks like :loll

Of course with his quick British wit...... He told me the Champagne was on ice waiting for me to leave :loll

We have had a great 3 months riding together from Panama, to Colombia and Ecuador. And as fellow moto travelers, our paths may cross again somewhere in the world! I can say that it was a pleasure riding with Young James and I wish him a safe and wonderful journey around the world!! He will be welcome in my home anytime in the future!

Carry on Young James

James will be sorely missed. What a great guy. He does some fantastic video production !!!! Radioman, Keep on having an adventure bro!! Enjoy!!

March 21-29 GALAPAGOS ISLANDS

Back in Quito now, after an amazing trip to the Galapagos Islands (and 8 days without internet), will need to sort through the thousands of photos to share this amazing week in the Galapagos.....

Before we left, Young James added another birthday to his life. We took him out for Birthday dinner to Celebrate!

Including birthday Cake with Candles!!

Lots of laughs...... Hector and Young James goofing about. It was a great night out!!

I had looked forward to the trip to the Galapagos before I even left home.... so this was a dream come true. Months before getting into Ecuador I posted on Facebook to see if any of my friends were interested in joining me, and my friend Diana from Oregon responded and we started to make plans for a boat trip in the islands and all the details.... It has been fun to have someone from home join my trip!

Just a few photos from the time in Galapagos. Hopefully later today I will be able to get the photos sorted out and start recapping this amazing trip! It truly was awesome to be out in the Galapagos and seeing wildlife up close and personal!!! I had really wanted to be able to swim with the sea turtles, and Diana wanted to see the sea lions. And it happened in amazing ways!!.... I bought an underwater case for my new camera...... Here are a few shots.....

Wahooo!

We were on a great boat the Odyssey. It was a "first" class boat and we were always busy with activities, like hiking, snorkeling, eating, drinking etc. While in Quito I was able to get the boat as a "last minute deal" which saved lots of $$$! More on this later.

The Boat

Lots of Snorkeling!

Wildlife......

Marine Iguanas!

Pelicans

Very Cool Crabs

Pink Flamingos

Sea Lions

And the Blue Footed Boobies

Sunrises and sunsets

Just want to sum this trip up!!

Oh C-stain did you really need to post that picture? I like Mark but that's a lot more of him than I want to see. Some things should be kept a mystery.

I like this picture much better
