Yep...that's a nice bike indeed!
I have a CBF 1000 that is an excellent al lrounder like the Bandit. But I just read a review(can't remember where) that the new Ninja 1000 is the PERFECT all rounder...if such a thing exists. I had better not look at one or I will be in shit... Enjoy!

The engine is the jewel in the crown here. It's really an amazing motor. Not in terms of sheer outright power, but as an all around package. You can putter around at a walking pace or you can run it hard...it happily complies with no lurching, surging, rough running, or other weirdness. |

Got a few mods bolted on this week. Very pleased with them.
Seat Fantastic! Big, wide, supportive, and the extra height combined with the peg lowering kit is awesome. Fit and finish are excellent! I had Loren add an extra 1" to the seat and remove the forward slope. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Peg Lowering Kit Another quality part. The Motowerk peg lowering kit was easy to fit, and dropped the pegs straight down. The brake lever didn't need adjustment (it's better now) but I had to lower the shifter down a bit. ![]() 12V and Powerlet Outlets Installed a standard 12v outlet and wired it into the switched accessory connection. I wired the Powerlet outlet under the tail so I can plug in my heated vest and battery tender. It's direct to the battery. ![]()

Aren't you worried about the pegs grinding?

I could remove the "feelers" and get back to near stock clearance, but I am not a peg dragger. I'm a big believer in proper body position when riding aggressively and will seldom ever find myself going fast enough on the street to drag anything.
If I do a track day, I'll put the pegs back in the stock position. It only takes about 10 minutes to remove or replace them.

I'm surprised you could get enough adjustment from the brake actuator rod to make the lever comfortable with the peg lowering blocks. I have my lever about as low as it will go with the stock pegs.

The brake lever was actually too low with the pegs in the stock position. I had to slide my foot up quite a bit to reach it. Now it's better. Maybe a little too high, and I could adjust it down a bit, but haven't fooled with it. It's not too bad.
Having a 36" inseam and bad knees, it's hard for me to find bikes that fit. With the taller seat and lower pegs, the bike is really comfortable. I'm able to move around on it a lot better now too, which makes ground clearance less of an issue. At 250lbs with long arms, I can hang off quite a bit. Heck, I've dragged a knee on my 125cc scooter without dragging hard parts. LOL!!

I guess that shows how people fit differently on the same bike. I'm 5'10" and 180lb but I have little flexibility thanks to multiple back and neck fusions. I can't hang off the bike much at all and the rear brake pedal is high enough I have to lift my foot to get it on the pedal initially.

Yes, it's amazing how some people can be comfortable touring on a sportbike while I have to stop every 150 miles on a Goldwing.
My knees typically start feeling like someone is driving nails through them. Even in a car I have issues, only on a motorcycle I can stand up every now and then which helps. Since adding the mods to my N1k, I'm really very pleased with it. It's surprisingly very comfortable. Loren at Baldwin outdid himself on my seat. It's better than the one he made for my Versys.
