My XR650L winter project

This is what I started with. A 00 XR650L that I bought in October with 10,000 miles. I rode it a few times like this with my buddys before it started snowing.
New stem berrings
This is the 1st version, I never rode it like this, but it looked awesome. New rear fender, FMF Q, chain/sprockets 650r front, FCR 41 pumper carb, powder coated hubs/wheels, Voyager GPS

This is when I decided to put new shock berring/bushings /linkage/swing arm berrings. in because it was a little loose. I discovered that the rear shock bumper had been eaten by critters. So I took it to my brothers suspention guy Matt Borjic with JM Racing. While I was there we talked about a USD conversion and I came home and started getting the parts together for it.
RSW triple clamps and Pro Taper woods high bars and a 650r front fender.

07 crf450r forks, re sprung/valved by Matt at JM Racing in Sainte Marie IL.I had to get a 450x complete wheel and have it powder coated then new spokes just like the rear. 450x spedo cable, and brake caliper bracket. LED turn signals from Extreme Dual Sport. Some canvas bags that I found on a chopper site make carrying tools and stuff easier too.

I rode it for the 1st time today. Put in about 40 miles, mostly gravel roads. I have made it much better than it was and its a Hoot to ride.
