Been talking to these fellas from the U.K. for quite some time and they made the trip to visit so we tried to show them some riding.

Blue, dusty and green, with some snow.

Our good friend Steve generously lent us his 300 for Chris and Walter rode my 525.

BTW - the XR650 pulls everything in the world

Chris has some excellent vid -

Wox, I love that first photo. It looks like they really got the tour. I can't wait to hear what they thought about it.

We rode a bunch of tight stuff on monday (I left my camera sitting on the desk dang it and didn't get any photos) and the guys expressed an interest in higher speed 2-track kind of stuff - no problem!

It was pretty dry on the sunny side of the hills so I kept looking for the edge of the snow, which we found. Still lots of drifts and it's pretty solid at about 4600' - I know enough to realize it only gets deeper.

These guys don't care - we're having a blast!

The dust wasn't too bad down low as there was a decent breeze to push it away.

Time for fresh air filters!

Starting to get hungry, we stopped by this pumice pit on our way to lunch in Sisters.

Came upon this squatters' hut in the woods, but no one was 'home'. Weird.

We snuck into Sisters with that plated 300 2-stroke and had a quick lunch with this hot babe.

The snow dead ends earlier in the day ate up some of our time so after lunch we rallied for the barn.

Those lights on the 300 are intense.

Steve (the guy who lent us his 300 and owns the 690 RR Walter mentioned earlier) lives nearby and his brother Pete does too. Since they're both from England, super nice and love to ride bikes as well, they invited us over for a BBQ and offered up some Honda 150's for a private track session.

I could feel a cold coming on and decided not to ride this really fun track at Pete's house.

My son and his ski buddy attacked it with gusto!

Thanks a ton Pete, Gwen, Steve and Jen for your hospitality and generosity - I'll stop by with a tube for that Honda rear wheel!
