Dollar down, a dollar a week? ![]() ![]() KLR's appeal to my head, but not my heart. I keep looking at them but ... Is an 08' the new style or is that the old style? What's the difference between the two?

08's are the new style. Very minor differences. Engine is the same. Suspension is a bit heavier duty on the new ones and the new ones actually have brakes. His is a 685. Thats a very needed mod on the KLR especially the 08's.

Stage II engine kit takes displacement to 685cc and reduces vibration. Adds a few (maybe 4-5) hp.

Also eliminates oil burning. My dads bike started burning oil so he had the engine rebuilt in Mexico. That made it worse. He brought it to me when it was burning about 1 quart every 500 miles. I put in the 685 and 4,500 miles later it hasnt burned a drop. I also put a higher gear ratio on it. It now cruises around 80mph comfortably.
