yup, never seen them as low...
the top part with the massive rut is still pretty slippery though, the rest is just like always.

Oooooh!
Cuttle,
This is a great RR! My wife, Suzanne, and I are in the process of moving to Asheville and we can't wait to start riding down there. Please keep this coming so we can get some more ideas. Those graffiti rocks looking over the valley look like Elk Mountain Road ... yes? (Our new house is about 5 miles away off Beaverdam.) ![]() ![]() Richard |

Welcome to the neighborhood! Yes, the rocks are on Elk Mt. Road - fun road and just recently got repaved . Once you move down here just come to the Wedge on Wednesday night (sometime between 6 and 8) and you'll meet the AVL crew - the best way to hook up for rides.

As always...a brilliant time. Coming out of the tent this morning and finding burnt red rocketpieces and shotgun shells just outside the tent was just a subtle reminder of why I had such so hangover.
![]() Thanks so much to the Sherif and Silke for the hospitality! ![]() Thanks to all who were there for such amazing company and warm friendship! It was good to see all of you again, as well meet fun and friendly inmates! (special thanks to Craig for putting up with Joseph and myself all day!) Blessings all!

Three years ago, just when I switched from the Monster to the DR, a certain road taught me a lesson, so today my plan was to get back there...
on the way I bought a new Madison County map, since none of my other maps show this road. Stopped at Barnard to plan the route and... dang, on the new map it's clearly marked as a private road . Well, I decided to just put around and take some pics as usual ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() somebody needs some goats! ![]() Paw Paw ![]() ignored the map and turned wherever I felt like it ![]() turned out nicely (I've been on it before - just from the other side) ![]() kept on going w/o a plan, till I realized where is was... time to pick up an apple and a hooker ![]() ![]() yeah, it's "fresh" (especially inside) ![]() ![]() ![]() all other road signs were taken ![]() ![]() from there I went to the opening of the new BMW shop in AVL.. nice shop, nice unobtanium, and the only pic I took was of an old V50 (couldn't help myself, I owned one like this a long long time ago)![]() at this point my back tire was shut and started to chop big time (the side knobs literally breaking off) ... so, change of plans and back home I went - via a quick stop at the Wedge ![]() Gonna put on a new tire tonight - anybody wanna get dirty tomorrow???

ventured outside of my normal stomping grounds today and picked up the East TN tag. Took me just a bit over 6 hours due to some exploring...
Kudzu Hell on 197 ![]() Unaka Mt Road (I wanted to use this as the new tag, but the Beauty Spot was already tagged, and that's just a few miles down the road) ![]() Tag location ![]() and due to construction I found this little gem - the guy in the gas station told me "you don't wanna go there" ... that's all I needed to hear ![]() ![]() it's called White Oak Road: steep, rocky and washed out - fun both ways ![]() close to the new tag ![]() sorry, my camera is metric ![]() ![]() Great day! now my hubby wants me to buy a SPOT, since I have a problem with taking directions (he has a point though)
