Hi,
Looking for information about a spark arester (rules), I found this
http://www.fs.fed.us/recreation/prog...HV_SAG2007.pdf

LéoVince is not even in the list... Looks like I'll end up in jail if controlled

I'm glad some good can come out of someone else's mistake.

Not to frighten anyone further, but if you decide to ride the Moab rim trail, use extreme caution about 1/4 mile in from the trailhead. You will come to a big ledge and crack combined with a hard right. One of our club members missed the turn several years ago and went off an 80' cliff. 40 broken bones and a wheel chair for the rest of his life. If I ride that again, I'll walk/bull-dog my bike up that section.

I got a nice FMF spark arrestor in from the Motorcycle superstore there on monday. It's all installed and looking good in my GSXR1000 exhaust. Fits like it was designed for it. Hopefully nobody gives my any troubles.

Can you give us the size (diameters) or is it too late ?
I know CJRacer built one (waiting for an answer about stock) exactly for my Leo Vince ( takes the place of the DB killer)
But I'm sure it's unqualified (as requested, according to the link I gave

This is the one I got

I believe the spark arrestor is 42mm on the outside so if you're pipe is larger than that you're good to go. That's what I found from a quick internet search at least.

Heading back to Moab next week. Will be driving through in the cage this time, but hope to take a few photos of the sites we missed when we toured there last fall.

nice

I have a bash plat I need to install - as soon as I change the oil, I have a Scott damper coming I hope to install next week (fingers crossed), so you are way ahead in the prep-derby.

I'm sticking with current rubber - only 30 hrs on the bike.

Cant wait....

Thanks, exactly the one I was thinking to order, so, I will! (and a n Acerbis Cosmo)
Rear tires received (HT Desert from OZ)
Need to order TKC for the front
Maybe a new air filter before the start, I'll see..
And I discovered yesterday the rubber under the top triple clamp is not correctly in his place.
I have a new one, I may change before we start.
I'll carry a 2 Gal rotopax with me (I figure a 200 to 400Km range)
Also, I guess I'll switch from 17x45 to 16x45

Do you guys need anything checked out in Moab. I will be there next Friday evening. (Other than a few photos and report on the fuel prices.)
I booked a motel room and the rates are up from last November and so are the temperatures.
