I managed to drop my 2012 a few weeks ago (in my GF's driveway.) I had done this many times on my 2006 and always broke signals but did not suffer any damage at all on the 2012. (My bike does not have crash guards or anything that would help. I don't think you could think of the Suzuki Handguards as being able to provide any protection.) Now this was dropping it at a standstill but still I would have expected signal breakage.

They pop free now and the stalks are flexible. Still the same place and plastics, still relatively fragile, but I suspect a bit less prone to breaking now.

Does the front suspension still "clunk" off pavement or on rough roads?

Nope, they say they fixed that as well as the overall mushy front end
