it clearly shows where I missed the left turn in Erwin and we got lost "in town"

Is there really a road along side of 26 that you all took home?

Part way at least. 19W/TN36, two exits south from Erwin, after a couple of miles turn right onto Flag Pond Rd/352. In 3 miles or so 352 goes off to the right, stay stright. Through Flag Pond, over Sam's Gap, under I-26 an it turnes into US-23. You'll still have to get on I-26 in Mars Hill.

I've been lost in the Dakar thread since I got back from my Christmas trip an putting off posting this.

Road down to my Mom's a few days before Christmas. I was going to slab it all the way to make time. Got stuck behind a wreck in ATL for a couple of hours, finally made it to an exit an went around. Won't make that mistake again. In Monticello, Ga.

In Bainbridge.

I stayed for a week, it was a good visit but I was happy to get back on the road.
Original brick street in Thomasville.

The Court House pics were inspired by The Banjo so I thought I should share one of his new store front with y'all. Should be open now.

The next morning we went for a ride!

Mark let me take one of his bikes. Good thing, the lebin-fiddy would not have been fun here.

BDXMPL, remember the ride up Cold Creek? Miles of this.

This gives me some real respect for the Dakar riders. It's fun on a flat well maintained road, can you imagine this pace or faster in the scrub off to the side?

On the Savannah River.

All done.

Fell three times. Once in the sand an twice in the mud.

It was a great day!! Thanks again Mark.
The ride home was uneventful if a little painful. How long till spring?
