KTM 990 SUPERMOTO-R Thread???

Has anyone found a brand of barkbuster that will mount to the 990SM-R without hassle?
(I am more interested in lever protection than anything)

The handguards from the SMT will bolt right on. Not as strong as real barkbusters, but cover the the lever pretty good.

We're still waiting to see Yudi.

I found some KTM one's designed for a Magura bar kicking around the shop,
but I just can't get them to clear all parts along the handlebar on the brake side.

Yes, I can just barely see your barkbusters in the pictures that you posted, Turtle.
I would like to see a close-up (some time this year).
And can you possibly find me the KTM part number?

What are they made of?
I'm talking about crash protection for the levers.
The bark busters on my 690 have taken some pretty good hits without breaking any levers.
Have you looked at the price on that 990 brake lever?

I ordered a spare, and the guy looked up the price and asked me if the lever was made of Titanium.

We have been working with FP Racing for sometime now on getting some of their super cool Custom Billet Aluminum Levers made for the 950 Supermoto, 950 Supermoto R, 990 Supermoto T and 990 Supermoto R. Their levers are super cool and with every color out there available you don't have to stick with the standard orange. Available in either standard length as well as shorty for those rocking the hand guards. For a couple bucks extra we can have pretty much anything you want laser etched on the front, back or both sides of the lever blade. We are taking pre-orders now because they are not going to last for very long. Considering these levers are about $20.00 more then the stockers and offer a break away design you really can't afford not to have a set. Order yours quickly and we will ship them out to you as soon as they arrive.

Great looking - you need some cans tho'

Keep the date in the camera - I'd love to rewind 8 years and be riding by KTM SMR (950 or 990) for an extra 8 year

But I can't actually find any for $20 over stock.
KTM-twins.com has them for $115.00
If you google FP Racing levers, you can find them all the way up to $199.

And I bought a stock brake lever from my usual supplier for $78.75 to keep as a spare,
and I plan to protect the one that's on there now with bark busters if I can find some that
will go around all that brake paraphernalia on the bar.

These FP's look like show pieces to me, and toooo nice to scrape up.
