That should have earned you a get out of jail free card or two. Good to see the 530 back in action, btw.

You can drain a pot fairly quick with that mold.
350 grain gas checked, sized at .460, there's some variation between cavities though and some are .459. I've got samples boxed up and ready for a couple ff's.

Cool!
Mr. Mititoyo say's mine are .455-.457 and Harbor Freight scale say's between 402-409 grains depending on how much the sprew cutter pulls out of the base and how much chili dries after application.

I wanna do some trading with you definitely.

Merry Christmas, POGs!

A Scottish Christmas toast:

Joy, joy. May God shower joy upon us, my dear ADVers. Christmas brings us all good things. God give us grace to see the New Year, and if we do not increase in numbers may we at all events not decrease.

I'd drink some of Scaaaauuuuggght's "breakfast scotch" to that right there, I surely would

Inpet's Hack ADVenture

Well POGs I got a story for y'all. OK, so it all started when Phaedrus posted up a link to a CL ad for a KLR sidecar rig for sale here in P-cola:

I had to see it for myself. So I called the guy up, he was very friendly on the phone, encouraged me to come out and take a look at it. I never said anything at all about buying it, I just told him I wanted to see it. And he was cool with that. So down the road I went to go see it. For $1700 you could be the proud new owner of this:

I had lotsa questions, and the seller had the answers. This sidecar is a universal-fit Velorex, and has been on a number of bikes over the years, this is the third KLR it's been on. Farrrrr out, man

Oh nosir, it's the Real Deal

So I mention to the seller how I'd never even seen a KLR hack before. And that I'd never ridden in a hack either. So he says to me, "Let's go for a ride!" Hey, ya only live once. The seller turned out to be a full-on hooligan, much to my surprise, delight, and even a little bit of fear. The rig never actually wheelied during the hard first gear launches it got subjected to, but the front end did get light, which resulted in the rig skewing to the right in an abrupt fashion. Scary for me, but the seller assured me "they all do that when ya launch hard off the line"

The fella's wife had vouched for his competence with the rig, so I asked him about flying the car. Oh yeah, piece of cake, he says, and at the next right turn I find myself up in the air. Wheeeeeeee!!! Dang that's fun--the same kinda fun as doin a wheelie, only different. I got air in that sidecar several times, didn't get any pics while flying, was too busy holding on for dear life. We saw a max speed of 50, feels a lot faster when yer so close to the road surface tho

So anyhow, I assured the seller I'd tell all my riding buddies about this deal. Not only do ya get the rig for the asking price, ya get a whole genuine American Tourister-full of KLR spares including a new doohickey, rotor bolt/wrench/puller, water pump, gasket set, spare sprockets, and a buncha brake parts. Speakin of brakes--how well does this rig stop, you ask? "Bout as well as any other KLR" was what I was told. So it ain't what you'd call confidence-inspiring. But hey, we all gotta die sometime.

So I've officially been Hacked! What a blast. My first time in a sidecar, but I hope it won't be the last. The. End.

Never been in a hack. Looks like it's the ticket for the kids or a dog.
