Yea,
A DKW would be my guess too. Several brands offered leading link front ends long ago. ![]() Vic are you on a SC500 Yamaha? How about the crazy power delivery on that thing?

Got you going huh?
I am riding a bone stock YZ360.. circa 1971 or so... rode it for the Yamaha Shop in Mobile. Had to sell my CZ to race it. The guy in the back is on a 500 4T Greeves. Yep the English made thumper. And kidney belts worn outsite were the rage back then...and yes the front forks were called "Earls" or "springer" forks. When you slammed on the front brake the handlebars rose up and not down.... wierd... but boy would that thing roll over logs... Close guys.... here is one of me on my old Sachs...

I am going to use "the jump" on my front lawn here in a few just to ride that roarty little Katoom RXC400 one more time before I clean her all up for JD. (JD - beside the little "bog issue" - this thing, to me at least - is very fun and low-worries) Gonna investigate roosting a few second-gear ruts into my lawn just for good measure (ta hell with my grass!) Might even feather the clutch and pop a wheelie or three in front of my house. Front brake is awesome enough to do a stoppie with, but I dunno how to do them. Plus, as Swampy would advise - they are highly frowned upon.
I am fixin to wake this joint up! Helloooo Vietnam!!! ![]() I will get my hypothetical/elusive street-legal 2 smoker sooooooon enough. House's Carnage ride tomorrow will be a no-go for me (what else is new - but dammit I want to make that someday) - but if any of you locals want to do a similar street/dirt road-based ride within 70 miles or so - keep us informed. I ain't taking my Transalp on a trail. Not because IT couldn't do it - more because *I* cant do it on an 80/20 beast, and I would hate to put a nick in it if we decided to take a nap. I would just like to do clay dirt roads around eglin so as to get my feet back on the TA. Some nice, flat, predictable 50/60mph stuff...

Now as for the smokes--I do appreciate yer generous offer. However, Alabama ADVer Nanohiccup offered me an e-cig at Turkey Trot and that turned out to be a turning point; now I'm vaping and believe it or not don't even crave the real thing... ![]() $15 gets ya everything pictured above, and a cartridge is roughly equivalent to 2 packs of smokes. The cartridges are ~$3 apiece in the refill kits, making this activity quite a bit cheaper than smoking. Unless yer bummin smokes off everybody, that is. Worked for me. Thanks again, Nano!

I started Vaping 2 months ago. Cigs taste nasty now. Although I did smoke Marloboro on the last ride Went with the large refillable tank and battery due to being on a KLR budget and it was on sale for $25. The refillable tanks are super easy to fill no small cartridges to fiddle with.
