Truth, men?
Fast-burn volume is killing EG range west of SR85. Jackson Guard loves our permit money, which is why EG green zone has not been shut down yet. But look at the pits and anything resembling a pit west of SR87: the jeep FF's got that cabled off for us handily in 2009. Think it stops there? Back in the day we used to intentionally quit riding the 'back trail' off of 87 for a couple months b/c of the erosion we were doing. To let rain and wind do the restoration jazz. With EG being used as a de facto race course now that mindfulness has gone the fuck away. I love that land even more than i love motorcycles, which is saying something Take care damned good care of our Treasure, men |

That is the truth Mug. Look at how beat up the trails in our OHV area are constantly- woops, sand, burms in each turn. I know they will not allow it to happen there.... Our $75 annual FEE is used to work on those ~56 miles of trails from time to time. Probably not something that's going to happen on EG- nor would you want it to.

What's with the negativity?
Mug, have you been drunk posting again? I haven't ridden Eglin in about a year, but there was not one rut or whoop. I'm not saying it can't happen, but how would that effect your enjoyment of riding Eglin? I don't understand your anger about people riding in deep sand at a fast clip. Do you honestly think that's hurting more than you riding beside the road to get traction. I've seen you ride that BMW all in the plants because you couldn't make it in the deep stuff. I don't care, but you can't judge other people without being judged yourself. It's not hurting the sand, I promise.
Buzz, I know that ANF is a different story. Y'all have a lot more people riding the same trails every weekend. It's not the same thing.

![]() Rob, I am not qualified to type for Mug- or even for myself for that matter- but I think the meaning of his post was to point out that weekly fast burns by large-ish groups of riders in the same trails will get areas shut down like the jeep pits already have. We have similar closures here- but they closed ALL of it down but the OHV area (FEE), and the numbered roads. I like the tourist pace vibe that we have going here, and I'll bet the the Inept One will be right there in the rear with the fear with me. I do like to ride fast too, but riding with friends at a slower pace is MUCHO fun... When/who is going to kick off the POG sweatfest thread? Hey Pete, I have not put any fuel in my car since Memorial day, and that includes a trip to Thomasville and another to St. Marks. Edit I did dump a couple gallons of used motoroil in there a week or so ago ![]() Gotta love a mechanical diesel
