Well now ya gotta understand...compared to the power inherent in the mighty Walther PK, everything else is just a poodleshooter

Never seen a bullet that could split wood like that

And not to switch topics or anything, but BMW Motorcycles of Pensacola is having their Grand Opening bash even as we speak, and I'm heading over in that direction. Maybe just possibly I can get a ride on the F8GS...might see some of you FF's over there!

Cool2

Waitaminute here.... dadburnnit....

Is it better to shoot a small gun accurately or shoot a big gun dumb?

I guess I'll just stick with my 20ga. and my pistols that start with the number 3.

Pea shooters, I am sure.

Any skatter gun nuts out there? I loves me some skeets....

Just so y'all know--this bike is badass. Consider it a Public Service Announcement.

That truck looks identical to my last truck. The bike, not so much.

Oh I'm fairly certain it would, if someone were so inclined. And if the BMW factory guys weren't riding along watching you like a hawk. And if it weren't unsafe and illegal. And if Swampy approved.

Factory d00d can't say much when you're passing them as you wave on the balance point.

LOL, And if your your Screamin' Eagle Softtail Boot Hill, Limited Edition La-De-Dah just doesn't serve your compelling posing inclinations anymore, this is the bike for you.

And don't worry -- you can expect the same off-road capabilities that your Harley delivered.

I rode the yellow GS 800 in the group just ahead of Inept.
Following the group around town would only allow me to judge a few differences between the 800 and my 650 Wee.
As expected, the engine was great. Shifting was better than the Wee by just a smidgen.

During the whole ride, I was trying hard to tune-in to all the GS had to offer and see how much improved it was over the Wee.
As soon as I climbed off the GS, greeted and said a few words to Inept, I climbed back on my Wee to compare.

Sorry to say as nice as the 800 is, a burning hunger to own one just didn't happen. Not that the VStrom is that good.
No,,it's really not that bad,,,,,,,,,,,and it's paid for!

Fixin it up here, Boss

With some TKCs mounted up, I think the F8GS would be better than my KLR offroad (that's not sayin much, but still). And waaaaay better onroad. Not a dirtbike by any means--a dirt road bike.

But I checked my couch, and I only came up with 15 cents not 15 grand
