Well there are an awful lot of issues important to me.
Here’s my campaign policy:
Legislation, education, occupation, arbitration, conversation, equalization, immigration, itemization, immigration, race relations, imitation, hospitalization...
I’m freaking out, vote for me!
Well it’s the land of the brave, the home of the free.
That’s the funny thing about democracy.

Actually, I did just that. Me and my granddaughter went for ride and had breadfast as McDs. Then cruised for a while till it got hot...

But I was thinking...wouldnt it be logical for guys to ride side saddle and not the girls?

So, the boys got in last Tuesday evening and it's been non-stop ever since. A funeral mass and a wedding to attend... Their older sister couldn't make it. :-(

Needless to say - we had a FULL week. Even though Mom passed April 1st, her church service wasn't held till Wednesday morning. I had to prep for the boys being here during the sweatless fest. You know.. groceries, lawn mowing, all that stuff. But we also had my niece's wedding to attend yesterday evening. Whoa.

It has been pretty much a late nite, every night, "Release the Kraken" sort of thing since Tuesday ;-)

Mom's funeral mass Wednesday morning, was touching. My niece wrote an incredibly-fitting eulogy, and I was pleased with all that occurred. It was good to have almost ALL of the family together for these last few days - not to mention my extended family (all 3 big sister's too). The wedding was at about 250 ppl last night. A good time to be had by all.

The cycle of life.

All this conversating and family interaction has gotten me a bit over-stimulated. I'm not big on all the yaketty yak, chip chip. To this ISTJ, Silence is Golden. Sigh. So I am feeling a bit testy and beat.

Steaks on the grill tonight. Boys leave out tomorrow. As usual, I hate to see them go. They are great dudes. My oldest son got accepted into a graduate program at UCF in Orlando - he found out about it yesterday morning. A good thing for sure. His little brother is doing fine and dandy smackin down that HVAC work up in the NE. Good young men. Both of them.

Anyway - just thought I'd provide another old guy update. Be well and ride safe.

I send out a big salute to all of our past, present, and future men and women in uniform on this Memorial Day weekend.

I miss you guys and hope everyone is OK. Robin - you and your better half have been in my thoughts and prayers.

As a babby boomeer I figured we were downhill from the "greatest generation" and of course the next generation was even worse, but ya know, I have met some outstanding young people, my son, daughter, and even granddaughter of 22 included, and I tell you, God has blessed us with the young.

AST is right, we should remember those who have given so much and those who give even today for our liberty!

Looks like I might have two different riders coming in Fri. night for tent space at the IneptiCasa. Figured I'd put some meat on the grill and have some cold beer in the frig for them--any of y'all wanna drop by for campfire stories/grilled meat/cold beer, you're most welcome! They'll be arriving by 7PM or so, if things go according to plan. Hit me with a PM so's I'll know how many to prepare for, or if ya need directions, etc.
