Eh, it'll never happen, but it'd be still really freaking sweet. Maybe we should just go ahead and make ADVRider hockey jerseys. I call #21!
Don't you think rollerball with motorcycles on ice would be more, ahem, adventurous?

I call #2.

If we wanted to get more inclusive since it doesn't look like we even got enough peeps to field a team we could make it motorcycle dodgeball, but we'd still wear ADVrider hockey jerseys!

I just found out I like Hockey. Never really watched it before, except for occasional blips during Olympics or such. Now I wouldn't watch it on TV, but I went to 2 CC Tigers games in the last month and came home with my voice just about gone. I had a blast! The World Arena here in Colorado Springs is a great place to watch the games, there really isn't a bad seat in the house. Good stuff!

That's good stuff 'eh Wings? One of those blue tiles in the concourse has my name on it. Sadly, due to work, I won't see any puck this year. Only one home regular season game left Go CC, DU sucks!

I played some puck earlier in life. I call right wing and #12.

They wouldn't let me graduate from Clarkson if I didn't play hockey!

I was in Glens Falls the day of the big game, not too far from Lake Placid.

That Russian hockey team was the best hockey team that ever played the game, period. Beating them was a miracle on ice.

If you haven't seen it, "Miracle" is a pretty darned good representation of the whole event and what went into building that team. It was a dream fulfilled.

College/junior leagues is usually the best damn hockey around. Beats the crap out of the NHL. Much more exciting, better team play, just a lot more bang for the buck. I hope that with the NHL season down the toilet that the junior teams are taking up the slack and making a good buck at the gate. They could use it for upgrades in equipment and facillities. Most tickets are under $10, franchises don't live well on that diet.

Yeah, I thought so too. I saw it on a plane six months ago and I thought it was damned good. Of course it didn't have gratuitous violence or preposterous computer-generated special effects, so about nine people saw it.

The only thing that sucked about "Miracle" was that it reminded me that the last guy cut from the Olympic team- at the very last minute- was from UNH.

I remember hearing the comparison at the time, 25 years ago, that us beating the Russians in hockey was akin to a high school football team beating the Steelers. Probably not too far from the truth.
It still amazes to me to this day. Best damn sporting event I've ever seen.
