Go team.......oh fuck it! Can't we just get back to hockey that matters. In fact I'm more excited to do brakes on my truck than I am for the all star game, and I've been putting that off because I hate my truck.

All Star games in all sports are boring. The Skills Comp in hockey. Home Run Derby in baseball and Dunk Comp in basketball are all way more exciting than the games themselves. Never watch the Pro Bowl so I can't comment on that.

What was Al MacInnis' fastest shot?

"There's hard and then there's Al MacInnis hard. I tried to get out of the way.
If it happens too often, you have to sit down and re-evaluate what you're doing with your life."

Goaltender Mike Liut talking about MacInnis' slapshot.

Look at that twig being torqued up.

Hard to compare wood vs. composite stick eras obviously the new equipment and training helps. Anything over 100 mph is pretty amazing. I was a little surprised at the shooting accuracy comp. Felt a little sorry for some of the guys.

Ray Bourque was deadly accurate, and made the Skills comp fun to watch. Now Chara, is doing the same.

Chara with his long levers and strength would be great to see in a Long Drive contest. The Slap Shot contest is always exciting, amazing guys still drop down to block shots when most teams have a guy on the point hitting 100 mph.

I'm calling for a timeout.....

At least they played hard for three periods today.

It was a battle. Fleury won.
