That was a very cool thing to do.
Chara looks huge on the ice, and I am much bigger than your average bear myself, but when he rode by us on his bike at the parade 5' away....... I was like, man is he huge for a hockey player. Good thing he does not have a terribly bad temper....he'd really hurt some people out there.

Good game so far (Habs / Sabres).
I like that NBC Sports is trying, I hope they continue to upgrade personnel. Stealing Buccigross from ESPN would be fucking awesome. |

The wild are 2nd in the Western Conf.
![]() They should be about 10th. Some incredible goaltending and marginal overtime losses keeping them afloat. They'll have a stretch where they go 2-7-1 in ten games and drop back down where they belong. This is Minnesota, after all. We don't have good sports teams.

The Wild and Blues meet tonight in St. Paul. Both teams have been hot lately, getting great goaltending. Last few meetings have been pretty scrappy, should be a really good game.

They have won every game in November. Up to 22 pts now. What a turnaround! Boy, the Wild are putting on a show too. Who would have predicted that in September, second place in the entire league? I know their goalie is superhuman, but still, it takes more than that to keep on winning.
Chicago, they have the mark on them now. The team to beat.

Goalies (plural). Harding just got the 3-2 shutout win against STL tonight. He and Backstrom both legit starters in this league. I can't figure out this team. They keep finding ways to win, even with three starting D men and a top-six forward out with injuries (Zanon, Lundin, Scandella; Latendresse). None of us think they are as good as their record indicates, but we are running out of reasons.

I wish I had the NHL Network so I could watch them trip all over themselves avoiding any discussion of the #1 team in the NHL, the Minnesota Wild.

I will be unusually rambunctious in my cheering for the New York Islanders tonight.
Fuck you, Cindy, and your little media circus too.
