EPL WINNING Pick'em

Yes folks time for the annual EPL ADVrider "everyone's a winner" pick'em 2014.

Thirty points are on slate each week. Makes it easier for Icewalker to track--- I think. You can pick up until 5 minutes before game time--

I don't like tracking who you picked last week, so we're doing away with the no repeat thing.

But.... drum roll please...

Each week I am going to choose two games-- a "good game" as completely 100% decided by my full arbitrary choice. Yes, you can nominate a game for the next week.

And a "dud"--- two teams that no one cares about. Like say Stoke v Burnley. Later in the season this will be the "don't matter games."

You will pick the winner of these games.

So a slate will look like this
1. Game of the Week 10 points
2. Dud of the Week 8 points
3- Your pick 6 points
4- Your pick 4 points
5- Your pick 2 points

Ties score zero points

And the bonus stuff--- to start-- we will do the suicide poll. 10 points per week. Cannot be a team you pick- and be the "GOTW" or "DOTW" though. Once you've picked a team, you can't use it ever again... This is stupid, scratch it.

Doubling down. You can do this up to three times in the season. Have to hit 100% on your picks- all or nothing.

Oh, and once again please put the EPL season week you are picking for with your picks. Really helps when I'm scanning through for picks. Thanks

Holy shit dude. Even American football fans are able to understand the concept.

I already choose the game of the week (GOTW) and the dud of the week. You can nominate choices for that for next week if you like. And yeah, the Toffees versus Rent Boys was a candidate for GOTW, but I didn't choose it. The games I picked are going to be harder to call...

So, having said all that, pick the winner of:

Tottenham v Liverpool (game of the week)

Swansea v West Brom (dud of the week)

And pick three other winners.

Week 3 summary - everyone sucks at picking winners.

Any suggestions for GOTW and DOTW for next week [sic] (Sept 13)? I'm going to suggest Arsenal v Man City and Palace v Burnley, but Chelsea v Swansea (two undefeated teams so far) may be interesting...

I picked Man City to win also.

No one, me included, picked a winner out of the three open choices. Everyone sucked.

What would I be scared of, losing a few bucks in a friendly wager?

Unless you are talking about real money....

I think you should allow for win. lose or draw, not just win or lose. Also, I'm pretty sure I don't understand all the rules you came up with in your OP, especially the suicide thingie.
