OK, here's the story...

dgrs2 went down the trail ahead of the rest of the group. The group got delayed. When he didn't see us behind him, he turned back. We caught up...at a somewhat high rate of speed.

So, Dave's orange 950 front tire caught my silver 950 in the skid plate, as pictured below.



Which, in addition to the damage pictured above, snapped his frame!



And bent his key.



My silver 950 doesn't look so bad, from this angle.



Not so good from this angle though.

Glad you guys are (hopefully ) OK from that. Bikes can be fixed/replaced.

lesson taught... wear communicators....

A set of cheap helmet communicators is a huge life saver when riding in groups. When a rider turns back and heads against the grain... more likely then not it's the kiss of death. Or better said the kiss of bikes.

Glad no one was hurt, at least physically. Hope they mend quick.
