From sena's website

"You can connect various two-way radio devices in the market by using SR10 and may talk wirelessly using Bluetooth headsets in the market."

"Compatible with standard stereo or mono Bluetooth headsets"

Doesn't give a list of compatible headsets though.

Mine should be at the house today, but I only have Sena systems. I guess I could try out my regular phone bluetooth headset I never use...

I have had the SR10 since last Friday. The setup here is a SMH10, SR10, Moto Droid X, and a Kenwood VHF/UHF transceiver. Have discovered what I consider a major flaw.

When the SMH10, the SR10, and the DroidX (ver 2.3) are all paired together, I no longer have the Voice Activated feature available from Droid X to the SHM10 by pressing the phone button. Receiving a call is not a problem. Making a hands free call is now impossible, along with all voice commands to the smartphone (I don't guess it's really that smart then). I have been in contact with Rick at Sena about this flaw. He is looking into this, and will be contacting me shortly.

FYI, the Voice Activated feature worked(s) perfectly as long as the SR10 is NOT in the Bluetooth chain.

UPDATE**** Heard back from Rick at Sena. They have confirmed that the Voice Activation will NOT work properly when the smartphone is paired to the SMH10, due to having to pair the SMH10 in a Selective Paring Mode. Hopefully this flaw will be addressed in the 1st firmware update....

I am thinking the SR10 will come up short , if you want blue tooth pairing to Garmin 660 , with Phone paired to Garmin , I would think all Bluetooth channels would be taken and the SR 10 would not work for two radio ? I may be wrong but I do know I could not pair the iPhone4 and Garmin 660 .

Works 100% for a 2 way radio. I've tried it on the Midland portable CB, and a Kenwood amateur transceiver. The SR10 becomes a 'gateway' for your BT devices. I feel sure they will address the issue of losing voice commands to my smartphone shortly.

Appears that a bottom line here is that the SMH10 can only support one HFP and one A2DP connection at a time. I "think" the SR10 can smush multiple BT signal sources together for a single stream to the SMH10. Right?
At present, I cannot do one and two below simultaneously. I'm trying to figure out how an SR10 can fix this but isn't clear from the diagrams I see. http://www.senabluetooth.com/support...?tab_menu=sr10

1) SMH10 Garmin 660 IPhone4 (this works pretty fine)
2) SMH10 Yaesu FTM10SR (this is intermittent, but once it is up, seems ok)

to switch between 1 and 2 requires powering things down and back up.

All the above glued to an R1150GSAdv.

I thought the bluetooth hubub from Sena was supposed to make it so you could have a four way conversation with other sena intercoms, no?

The hub is so you can connect a lot more sources and stuff like two way radios to the Sena or whatever brand bluetooth headset you own. Just a way to add more sources.

Yaesu Cable - Be Careful!

Just got mine a few days ago and was disappointed to find that the Yaesu Single-Pin cable does work with my Yaesu VX-6. It looks OK for non 'submersible' Yaesus but not for the 'submersible' models like mine.

The solution is to get Sena's ICOM cable and connect it to the Yaesu using the Yaesu CT-91. My ICOM cable won't arrive for a few days but I'm sure it will work with the SR10 as well as it did with my Autocom.

Doesnt Yaesu make a plug to go into the submersible plug on your radio, where you can then hook the Sena Yaesu plug into?? About 10 bucks I think, that's what Texas Towers told me....

I've not been able to find such an adapter. The Yaesu CT-91 cost $11.95. Once you've made that step it doesn't matter that the SR10 interface is the ICOM cable. The solution works and is submersible.

Cyclebots is giving full credit for the Yaesu cable. I'm just try to save Yaesu VX submersible series owners the inconvenience.

If someone can post a link to the adapter Dagwood mentioned I'd appreciate it.
