What is that square box in the bike in the background (that replaces the left exhaust)?

Holds a ton of stuff.. they had 2 tubes, full tool rolls, tire irons, extra front sprockets, etc etc in each of them. You are going to have to wait to get one though.. because I'm first in line ![]() ![]() I've been looking through their blog to find a better pic.. here's all I came up with so far

I think so- I've bugged him about it a few times. From what I understand he's tweaked his design a few times and is getting closer to a style that he's happy with before considering offering them to the rest of us.

Sweet! Too bad (but good for him!!) that he is away on a trip or I'd bug him too!
Ok now... That's too many things that I want... I'm wondering what the consensus is on the safari tank color (other than personal preferences). Geek has the black, CJ the white (and the metal one) and orange from the OP (nice first orange pix that I see). For the ones who have owned these tanks for a while, would you choose a different color for some particular reasons? My 990 is orange since I wanted to be seen the most for safety reasons (out of the colors available at the time) I know the white ones turn a bit yellowish...

The safari tanks may not suit everybodies needs. I need more fuel, but not hanging in front. My off road rides are soft desert sands where the heavy front is already a handfull. In the soft sands i get half the fuel mileage so the tanks will need to be full and more fuel in the front would only exacerbate it. Thats why i'm waiting for Pete640's Rally Replica rear tanks. Extra fuel goes on the back side and saves the front end from handling 40ltrs of fuel, which is needed when i want to ride even a smallish 200kms.
