Gotcha, guess they do need to update either that rate chart or hopefully better yet the prices that show in the cart.

Right now you have to order them from a Canadian supplier until things get back on track in the US, at least that's my understanding.

Even if you try to buy one of the tires shown, click on add to cart and it just comes back to the same page.
I might be interested in some Trelleborg MX tires, but the links don't work.
Well, we are +17 days later...website is still down. Got a person on the phone yesterday and today. Sounded really promising, but got some BS about the website being down for inventory. Today, he mentions he had to call the "warehouse" and the guy didn't show up. Anyhow, he'd call Germany next week. But it will probably be months before a new shipment floats across the ocean. Story ain't jiving...

In the meantime, off to get knob tires are Motorcycle superstore....

i was loooking at the mitas site and noticed this at the bottom of the page

"All sizes will be available only as tubeless and in category T (speeds of up to 190 km/h)"

fine for a gs1200 etc but not much good for the big KTM

Because of the Tuebless or the speed category? If the former, then it shouldn't be a problem as most any tire labeled as "Tubeless" can be used on a tube type rim with a tube, if the latter, then you're riding A LOT faster than I am!

Both really, although speed wobbles start to appear on the unrestricted sections of the autobahn !

Anyone know how smooth the inside of the Tyre is? Some are rough and cause massive heat

Trying out the C17 Dakar up front (21") for my GSA. Got them delivered today from MX1Canada.com.

I usually get the E09 Dakar and that's great but I'm headed down to Baja and might be doing some extra technical stuff.

You can see here the difference between the two

I just talked to a rather laconic guy with a British? accent at 704-542-3422 who answered the phone and "helped" me when I inquired after the motorcycle division (as the local distributor said Mitas is split into different divisions or some such nonsense). He claimed they took the website down to "revamp" their dual-sport line because of some problems with the DOT approval for their dual-sport tires. I asked after the "problem" and he said it was something to do with "getting insurance and paperwork sorted, but no problems with the tires." He estimated 3 months for said sorting to have happened, and then maybe they would be re-considering their distribution network.

Just FYI.

sounds like the same guy I talked to over a month ago, same story about DOT. He also went on with something about "what if" about being sued and lawyers, etc.

I talked to then for about a half hour yesterday. They are working getting US DOT approval on the E-10. He said that and then a shipment from CZ Republic. He said could be 1-3 months.

Also they are Looking at a distributor program for US shops. Small distributor orders of maybe 10 tires. They are taking email addresses and will update when they know more. The site is down b/c there are no tires in the US to order. When they are in he said he'll send out an email blast.

But many of us want the E-07 (without paying $50.00 shipping from Canada)

We talked about getting some tires, but a container of 800 tires is a lot of money.
I really hope they get something worked out.

Hey, lets do a group buy.
