down the other side of the mt




on the other side of blairsville, turning towards murphy i thought i saw dirtdabber filling his beemer sidehack rig, i locked the brakes blowing the horn, i wanted to turn around but we were already late for a stand up funeral, robin snapped a picture. That s not him & that's not a beemer (Hey it is a sidecar & it is silver.....so back off f)



took another stop in murphy to stretch robins back

oh shit its 3pm (wedding starts at 3pm) haul ass towards peachtree, miss our turn

go back turn in gravel road in, gravel flying radio blairing (yea i'm that guy)

a guy in a full length black jacket white shirt vest, cane, tophat, making the slow down motion steps out

kill the motor, change shirts pull on jacket, robins not changing in the parking lot i know shes done it before i seen her

slip in mid service

as far as weddings go it was a good one

awsome weather, leafs golden

dave's(da groom) mom told me to check out the place, she told me about the horses & the pond

as i walked away she yelled at me "no skinny dipping"



when everybody went inside i slipped out where this rowdy crowd was hanging out

we as we came tru helen it was packed,

octoberfest, robins back was killing her so we went on home

it's hell being grounded

if ya ever stop on the top of blood mt (named after a big indian war, many moons ago) is a killer (and by killer i mean high priced) backpacking store right where the appalachian trail crosses neals gap. This is the only place on the AT the trail has a roof over it



it's also know for hiking boot fitting. And if you've had enough of your old boots

Been there, on a hike from Springer Mt. up to Great Smokey Natl Park.

I'd been on the trail for a few days to get there and when I walked in to the lot a noticed a couple locals downing some Bud Light and eating out of a paper sack in a jeep. The bigest and ugliest of the two staggers, uh I mean wanders over to offer me a beer. About two sips into it he offered me some boiled peanuts. Didn't sound too appetizing but out of courtesy (and Deliverance bing a love story and all) I tried some. Never really got a taste for boiled dirt and peanuts

Swlled my beer and hauled ass on up the trail. Beautiful country though

sunday morning afterbreakfast & a trip to walmart

after that womans fussing about her back and all i was talking smack about the chrome slug needing a front tire & we could ride over to riders hill and get one

when she said call em first, then lets go so much for another nap, my bluff had been called



we'd seen the crowd at gold rush days the day before so we knew to slip in the back way

was a busy day at the tire store at riders hill

we got samwhiches & ate then sat around waiting

tis pulled up

hanging out, looking at bikes, swapping tells, going from rockin chair to rock'n chair


when she says, if they finish we could go to festival and get a funnel cake

now it makes sence

with a new donut on the front we head into town

(by the way riders hill has a good selection of tires at a decent price in stock, no mader what cya ride)

we checked it all out, went over to the crimson moon to people watch from the deck



where she gotta butterpecan&peach ice cream next door & pbr for me

everyone was happy



the trip home







got home had a text from an old room mate i hadn't seen in 4 or 5 yrs. he was in helen heading my way

we caught up till about mednight

yea 3:30 am sucked, out the door and headed to work

Takes a pretty good report to get me to spend a couple of evenings wading through 59 pages Nice job...I really enjoyed it. If you ever head North out of Memphis...up into the LBL & Western KY...give me a shout.

i had big plans to go to little strugis (or what ever they're calling it these days) & or hog rock this year but didn't make it. Hopeing to get up there before i head back to jawja for good
