Old School Moped

For the sake of putting around the neighborhood I had this idea of building a old school looking moped. Still have a few things to finish up on ...... My wife looks at me funny thinking its kind of dumb putting a motor on a "pedal bike". Tried to explain its what a true moped started out as. I said most women won't "get it" but guys will. So here it is.

Have not ridden it much yet, have to sort out chain lengths and leaky float bowl (China junk). Brakes are standard rear coaster and front drum nothing stellar but ok for a bicycle.

Google "motorized bicycles" lots of info out there. Engine and drive is from Grubee just be aware it's China quality. All other items were cobbled together. There are places that sell the whole bike 2 or 4 cycle styles but for a price.

Very nice!
That is one seriously-long inlet! Is that standard? It would seem to push the carb too close to your leg, but perhaps I'm missing something.

Is it loud? For something that looks so exquisitely made, it should be whisper quiet...

An excellent job, sir!!

Cheers... Paul
