I'm now a race supporter.

I remember watching the coverage of Paris to Dakar years ago. They showed a bunch of wheels on a tarp by a team. They were cutting all the spokes with bolt cutters to prep to relace the wheels. Is that an every night need or something the big teams can afford to do?

Maybe this has already been discussed. If so, I apologize, but I couldn't find it.I'm not a huge twitter user. In fact I almost never use it. What it is great for, however, is following real time, rapidly changing events with many different info sources. Sound familiar?

F5'ing ADVrider threads is o.k., but sifting out the actual race information from the other responses can be difficult, and on a mobile device, almost impossible.

What about using a twitter hash tag dedicated to ADVriders of interest in the dakar? Like #AdvDakar ?

I'd love to have my phone set up to follow a twitter tag #AdvRider and always get the immediate info on what is going on! Thoughts?
