Leaving HM autobody, we are riding the trailway to Lewisporte, and then we hope to get to Twilingate. Breakfast at the RED HAWK is the place to start....

Off to the trailway!

Not far east of Badger, we find this old plow, which didn't get shipped to Africa like the rest of the rail line did. No snow where it went I guess.

It's vandalized to hell, like a lot of things up here.

more tunnels - they go under the TCH.

Don doesn't make it that far, he's feeling a little deflated.

Don has no tire irons, and no tube. Tool rentals on the NL trailway are really expensive, and express tube delivery is even more!

"I think I have a patch kit with me" Goodolain'tpatchinthatshit sez.

How much money do you have with you, buddy? How much is a new tube worth to ya buddy?

"Hey, where's Jimmy?"

Time to find A BUDDY with a welder!

I missed on taking photos at the welding shop, scroll back - I think Don shot a couple. The weldin' b'yes only wanted some cold ones as payment, I got the call for that job. We drank a few beers with the welders, and then decided to get a room at the Trailway inn for the night, and I was camera free, luckily. Good dinner at the recommended dinner spot in town, then to Waynes World for a night of beers, Karaoke, and white russians.

(insert random photo to keep the 'peeps attention)

After having buddy at the hotel put our bikes in the garage overnight, we have to wake him up at 3:30 am, to unlock the front door to the hotel. He lets in 3 drunked up rock stars, who smell of white russian. I get the chair tonight, in the rotation of the two bed hotel room. One guy buys every third night, and one guy doesn't get a bed, all in a nice fair rotation. Jimmy got the futon one night, I had the chair, and Don got screwed, he got the floor one night, with blow'em up pad - 'cause the couch was so uncomfortable!

It gets better - morning dawns - I'm up first, surprise, surprise.

I drink the ONE pot of coffee in the lobby, and steal Don's computer "so they could sleep in".............. Don wanders out, looking for a cup of coffee, sorry dude.....

(insert random caribou pic)

I was uploading pics, as I was way behind, kinda like now, with this RR.

Mrs. at the front desk rings the room at 11:10 - "hey boys - checkout is at 11am."

We finally get cleared out of there around 11:45am - looking to hit up a timmy ho-ho's for our crack of noon breakfast.

We're gunning it for the soiree today - via the road to the north of red indian lake - it's a straight shot from Grand Falls/Windsor to St. Georges.

Not quite out of town, we stop for a smokebreak. Everyone is a wee bit hungover, and the pace is killing us. Did I mention it was raining when we got up?

The early sectiion of the road to Red Indian Lake is rough and pot-holey.

Jimmy takes off, and leaves us in his tracks with his superior suspenders on the KTM.

It's real pretty through here - and the road is mostly good, but we started in the wet, so it was a bit slimy in spots.

Dangerous too.

I find Jimmy's coffee cup in the road. This is a bad sign.

We find him pulled over, luggage racks shed some more bolts, and came "unwelded" again. Bust out the tie downs!!

I saw this guy running down the road....

The trip of a lifetime, thanks for making it all happen Goodol + Jimmy were the best traveling mates you could ask for!

Logged the longest day on the X that I have done to date on the last day on the way home, you get that "I'm almost there" feeling and just can't stop!

Relais Gabriel, Quebec (just north of Manic 5) to home, 719 miles, 6 am to 11pm on the bike! WOOT!!!!!!!!
