Campgrounds are pretty empty... sunshine even on the beaches (for now anyway).

We are doing a ride today leaving Fortuna to the Ave. of the Giants, South to Garberville then North-East(?) on Alderpoint Rd. The general plan is to end up back on HY 36 at Bridgeville then back into Fortuns area. Two newer riders in the group, so we will be taking it easy, hope to post up some pictures tommorow.*EDIT* While checking out my bike last night lights, blinkers, tires, Oh OH , low rear tire , shit a nail. Oh well its patched and holding air for now.

Well our ride loop today got kinda jacked, after we reached Garberville and had lunch everyone except me thought it was to hot to make the return on Alderpoint Rd. WTF Anyway we just returned to Fortuna the same way we had come down on the Ave. of the Giants still a nice ride . Hear are a few pictures of the ride, nothing earth shattering.

That should do it for now, if you have the chance to ride the Ave. of the Giants check it out very nice ride from Garberville to Pepperwood. Sorry about the one picture at a time.

Since this is the Nor-Cal/ Lost coast thread maybe someone can answer a question for me? How far up Redwood House Rd. is the Kneeland Rd split? I started up therer today but only got about 10 miles and it really started to rain pretty good.No rain gear and a wet ride back had me turning around. The plan was to hit Kneeland Rd. and either go back to Bridgeville or up to Kneeland and then home to Hydesville. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Rocket, it looks farther than 10 miles Anyway I will just have to do the ride when its not raining.

*EDIT* I played with the map you posted and it looks to be about 13 or so miles from 36 up to the Redwood House- Kneeland split. And maybe 8 or so miles down to Bridgeville. Thanks

Check out the Showers Pass and Mtn View Ranch roads. (They are eastern loops off Bridgeville Road). Nice stuff.

Thanks Twilight, i did see Showers Pass on the map. There is another I saw on a map and read about in another thread, FS-1or maybe SR-1?? Looks like it started at Mad River maybe , and ran over to Willow Creek?? Iam not sure about this as I have been checking out so many maps I could be mixed up. So many roads, so little time.
