the stock 2010+ smc tail plastic is white, looks like this one may have been painted judging by the orange rub marks where the seat would touch.

Yes, painted it. Looked like sheit when i got it, lots of scratches and rubmarks, and wanted to see what it looked like white.
As you may notice i haven´t bought the "real deal" white rear fender just yet....
And it got even more scratches and rubmarks now.

Well, it´s that time of year when "things" gettin darker, so more light needed.

One thing I discovered on my aux light tryout trip, is that it´s bloody difficult to read the roadbook when dark, so things need to be "lighter" (sorry..)

First take your 19.99$ RB


Drill a hole


Take a leftover indicator lamp or simmilar


Make sure arrows point in right direction....

Connect the way you prefer. I hooked up on the lobeam.

Ok boys n´ Girls.
The big bosses in Mattighofen doesn´t get it that so many of us wants our own Rally replica, so better do it your self...

Front tanks and alot of bits and pieces ordered from Austria, Fairing, navtower and skidplate ordered from Cptn. Berglund, Roadbook and framesupport for navtower from Raid Designs.

To be able to switch between tanks I want an external fuelpump. After a tip from Dakar rider Thomas Berglund I found one.
Comes from a Suzuki quad, lt 450-r modelyear -06-09.
Very expensive boys n´girls, but hopefully worth it.




Regulator and ign,coil need relocation


Trying out where to fit pump and fuelreg.






Rear brake res. need to be relocated to make room for hoses and things


Mountingplate for fuelreg. No topfinnish, but hey it isn´t a showbike....

Exhaust need to be built. I used 50mm (2") plastic tubes used for plumbing to make a template.
My dear father in law (whom allso drives a rally car...he understands me...) will weld it for me later.

I looked at one of these fuel pumps for my project on the advice of safari tanks, as run in dakar on some bikes. Only thing I have found is that it has 2 returns. 1 to the petcock switch and another to the top of the tank (how its used on the quad). How are you planning on running the lines? Will you run a similar fuel line system to the quad?

Front and rear fueltank to Rally petcock, to pump to regulator.
Will connect return from fuelregulator to the big outlet on pump. It says "fuel vapor" on the parts diagram, but being in contact with Thomas Berlgund and thats the way he routed it.
