The earlier CRF-R engines have an issue with 5th gear oil starving the bushing during extended top gear runs. Just thought I'd pass it along.

only two things I see I would worry about is air flow through the radiators to keep her cool and how much flex the frame is going to have with out a lower tube. Regardless it should be STUPID FUN to ride.

+1 A friend with an '05 CRF450X had his tranny lock up tight due to this issue. I think folks are running more than the recommended amount of oil in the tranny to combat this, but it's worth some research.

The bike is looking sweet, by the way.

Thanks for the tip, I'll plan on running extra oil in the tranny. Although, I don't have to worry about putting a hole in the tranny part of the case because there already is one.

Well I finally got it started, and it started leaking out of the water pump. I guess I'm not going to have a chance to ride it for a while ( back to school, away from the my shop ). It sounds just like a 450 mx bike, nothing special like my cx500/gl650 cafe build which has a awesome sound.
