everything went good. No problems with the factory doo- mechanism was functional and the spring tight. It could have gone a little quicker if I wasn't such a nerd about checks and rechecks. It is difficult to line the rotor up on the crank, it took me several tries. the key likes to push out of its groove.. the engine -inside is squeaky clean..hopefully the new EM part is the end of that worry..

Touratech crash bars installed this afternoon and new top box mounted. GPS mount came in, but will tackle that another day.

Thumb first post, new member, Sugar Land, TX

I have lurked for a few days. This looks like a good sub-forum to say hello! I ride a 2012 Moto Guzzi V7 Racer and have discovered it is potentially a great long distance tourer. Long rides (over 100 miles or so) are a new concept for me as most of my time is is spent in the greater Houston area. I grew up riding in Durango, Colorado. One of my goals is to build up basic camping and weekend trip equipment and experience and get out and about Texas to some destinations. Thanks to all for the many phenomenal trip descriptions!

You gonna get a better picture of that bike? If I didn't know it was Steve McQueen green I'd think it was black.

Oh, and congratulations!

Do you know where I can find some Germans? I rode through Gluckstadt looking for local tag but no Germans chased me...

Maybe you could get the local Beemer riders to chase you - nah, they can't keep up.

Trophy must wear both uniforms.
