![]() Got some time to work on my Triumph today. Putting in new steering head bearings, modifying the airbox for K&N filter, upgrading the headlights, valve adjustment, new fuel lines, doing a better job of running the wiring for GPS and accessory plug, exhaust mod, and generally checking everything out. Looking forward to riding.

I had one almost this torn down in a hotel parking lot in Terlingua once. But it was the swing arm I had off not the forks and stem.
I have to say this Trophy is in incredible shape. Valves were all well within specs and nothing seemed out of sorts. I changed out the bearings b/c those lil flat spots are annoying on heavy front end bikes. The rest is purely b/c I wanted to do it. I like a day working on a bike almost as much as a day riding.

No pics, but I installed the re-flashed ECU in the Tenere this evening. Went for a short test ride and must say it's a very nice improvement. I can't say if there is any increase in outright power, but it's sooooo much smoother!

Not a farkle
But a new bike!!!
2011 GSXR750 to keep my big GSXR1000 company. This will be my streetbike and I am still progressing along with the track modification to the 1000. Nice find, 784 miles new and several add ons by previous owner who never rode it. Skerd is more like it. Same color scheme as my 1000 minus the gold frame and swingarm.

Nice find Roy. I wondered what had prompted the sale of the DR.

Just switching gears for the time being. I never used the DR. I use these things. I stumbled up on it one day surfing cycle trader and it was in biloxi which made it all the better. I also worked him backwards on price. He wanted it gone. I originally planned to use my 1000 for both street and track but the further I got into the project I realized that wasn't a good idea. Plus a 750cc bike is way cheaper to insure verses that 1000.

Thanks, this one is my 4th 750. 5 mile rip once I got home before dark and I'm liking the "don't think about brakes" feel into a turn. You don't try that on my 1000 at least not on the street. 750 lacks the big torque hit but makes up for the pin the throttle mentality. Transmission ratios are phenomenal. Can't wait to uncork it with a cat begone and some more fuel into it. Fun stuff!!

Slickstones OFF!!
Michelin Pilot Powers will go back on. I just do not like the Bridgestone BT016 tires that come on GSXRs. Tires are like new with nipples still on them. All they are good for on a Sportbike is to buy bodywork after you lowside the thing.
SO it looks like this for another week until this holiday cheer is over and everyone goes back to work and my tires ship. ![]() Sucks I have TWO inactive GSXRs currently laid up in my shop.

and a DR650 I can't sell, a DR200 with 46 miles on it and last but not least the sometimes finicky Yamaha Super Tenere. I'm good for a ride on something.

Need to raise that front fender some. Mud would lock you up with it that close.
