Consider the KLR with aftermarket mods too. Best value for money and a damn decent bike.

Ok, how do I post pics. Copy/paste or 'insert image' (shows on URL links)? I see under 'Posting Rules' I'm not allowed to load attachments? Please advice...

I’m ready when you are. This weekend sounds great but I actually planned to take that sandy route you and MacD rode. I think I know where it is…
If you really are going to Grabouw you can count me in regardless. No weddings this weekend but I have a mountain climbing session with my fiancé’s mates. (easy to get out of)

I have your number and will call if I can go - here’s mine in case: nool aag twee, aag nool vier een vryf vier nool. Lets see the aliens figure that one out!!!
Howzit. Got your number Mr Enigma code breaker. I think all of our skills could use help. Dayam.

So, it can either be Grabouw or West Beach. I have organised a private motor cross track for us this weekend too in Grabouw, and apparently its quite good, so we can check it out. When last did you do a table top hanging big air on your 12 hun? Hmmm

Anyhow. Buzz me, youre a vodacom user so I trust you more and lets see if MacDuff wants to join. I am sure burning out his clutch hasnt swayed his opinion at all!

Choos. G

Ok KLR man

I'll bite. So you need a smugmug account to post pictures, or the like. Smugmug is great, is cheap (I think it can work out to be something like R10 a month or something), and you post from there. Its quite confusing at first.

Get a smugmug account, upload your photos to your smugmug account. Use my number cos I helped as a reference number - you save $5, you make me $10 - its U36VAnMNIcHm2 just copy and paste it in.

Then one your pics are uploaded into smugmug, then open two windows. One for the desired pic in smugmug that you want to post on advrider forum. Other one is the thread where you want to post your pic. Right click on the photo in smugmug, and get its properties (at bottom). Then copy it, go to thread, and click on the little yellow mountain and sun icon next to the hash button. In there, paste the picture properties, and enter. Voila.

Youre picture will post. When youre done (you can do multiple pics this way on one post) then submit your reply as per normal, and we can all see your efforts

Good luck!

George - errr.. LITO

Hey nice to learn of this Noodles. This is my only hassle with it:

Q: How much space and bandwidth do I get?
A: Currently free accounts get 25 megs of space and 1,500 megs of bandwidth per month. Premium accounts have these restrictions lifted.

Hell, I would fill that in around 1/4 ride report / trip.

And hey, whats the choice on yer bike? I am keen to know. I also sent you a pm, ya didnt respond ya Noodle!

Peace

Dunno bout the bandwidth, I don't post many pics so it's okay for me. There's lotsa places on the web to get free hosting. If you have the energy go to www.50megs.com and make your own web page and get 50Mb. You can register a number of times.

Got your pm. Replied.

You asked about helmets that the taxis use here, check out the designer arai:

hey designer suit, designer helmet

as far as bandwidth goes, I have 4 gigs a month out of smugmug, I have uploaded almost a gig of photos, my photos are small too, and my upload is unlimited.

AND FOR TEN RAND A MONTH, I am staying put! Cheers, and thanks.

R10 per month is nothing. If I need to post lotsa pics I'll go for that. Maybe when I'm riding from SA to the equator I'll take a couple pics

Hey when are you going? (Or were you just joking?) My woman and I are going to ride up to and around Mt. Kenya next year as a practise run. We plan to ride around the world some day.
If you go before us I would really like to hear about your trip.
Info good! Ignorance bad...

P.S. I use ImageShack to host my pics (free, fast & reasonably big)
