I want to leave my bike there for some heavy maintenance over the holidays. I'll then return to Jo-burg en route to Perth. I know of a good shop near Capetown; Jo-burg simply makes more sense for me flight-wise. Thanks guys! H.
Just a word of caution , ZA basically closes down between 16 dec and second week of jan.... what heavy maintenance have you in mind?

There are a couple of shops which could be recommended but let me know waht the heavy maintenance is?

I wont be going away over the holidays so we could "hook" up and i can keep tabs on whichever shop you go to while you away.

Also which dates ?

cheers

Hi Guys, Bavarian Motors (I think that's it) of Pretoria has been mentioned on HU. I need a 30,000 mile service, and an annual service done. My last actual BMW service/check-up was well over 30,000kms ago. I need new tires, swing arm lube, new front fork oil, and maybe seals. I need the shims/valves checked and the engine given a thorough exam. I probably need a new battery and have a few things broken that need fixing. It's tough to open my fuel cap as my pannier frame has taken a beating due to falls on the off-road stuff. I prefer a shop that thinks outside the box. I prefer to have someone work on my bike that will help me AVOID problems down the line by trully knowing the bike. I'll be out of internet range as I start to head out of Uganda, but will read your posts when I can. Thanks for your advice and information. Hook.

Always good to have a trusting wife, no matter how misguided she is.

Nope (I think), it goes back to a post I did on this church where yes, I once was a choirboy. It is now a "house" / Art Gallery. Not enough people support the churches to keep them open in the UK.

I went to the UK recently and gave my niece away at her wedding, yes a small rural village / community church, but the first wedding in that church in 7 years?

Me a real man , me ride big strom , wee strom for moffies

great bike thus far , nigh on 40 000 kays and nary a problem (which could not be sorted thru the warranty )

just beginni9ng to look a bit like a rat bike ...i hate washing it and falling tends to add scratches to it ...but i aint ever going to sell it so as long as its reliable is all that matters.
