Thanks fellas!

Not quite done yet. Those last two pics bring everything up to present. I'll post more and hopefully a video once all the finishing touches are complete.

Cheers!

MotoJ,
Just saw your bike over at Tom's place, and he told me about this thread. It looks awesome, you guys have done some great work. Bringing it to Peter's for first Thursday?
Cheers,
Chris

Hi Chris

Thanks for the compliment!

Hadn't thought about Pete's- that could be cool. Not sure I'll be ready to negotiate Fell's Point so soon, though.
I just drove it for the first time last weekend, up and down the alley. First time driving a hack. I plan on finding a nice big parking lot and practicing a LOT before I get into any traffic.

Mods vs Rockers is this Saturday in Essex, too. That would be a good destination for a first voyage, but again, not enough seat time yet.

Put the Porsche engine in the chair - great ballast, no worries!

You may get a shot at Mods vs. Rockers. They rescheduled to Sept. 10 due to impending hurricane.

Incremental progress pic

Pre-hurricane update:

Fender and bumper are on. Lights are on and operational. Sidecar step shined up, clear-coated, and installed. A lengthier shakedown criuse revealed some headshake, so we're going to fit a VW steering damper I got off EBay. I think I'm going to go with a solo seat, so the pan will get cut and the foam reshaped and the cover "tailored" and screwed to the bottom. Tom has a cool old rack we'll make fit. Finally, some driving lights for the car, and then it's time for me to learn to drive it!

Sweet looking rig. I'd love something like that fior myself when I eventually get around to sidecar action.

Really nice rig, interesting build.

I live a little further west in Maryland, maybe I'll get to see that in person some day.

Sweet rig. If I ever was to build a Beemer-hack, it would look just like it.

Cheers,
Greg
