I have been on Virgin Mobile for a couple of years. My first Android was a Samsung Intercept, and it was so slow it would make you weep. I just upgraded to the HTC One V with ICS, and it is a night and day difference. I find myself using the phone a lot more since it doesn't take so long to open programs or get data. The only thing that would make me happier would be if more Android programmers allowed installation of their apps to the SD card rather than insisting on phone memory.

Yeah, I have been fairly happy with my HTC Inspire 4G (3G plus a boost in reality). I especially like the music. When this phone was made about 15 months ago HTC had a contract with Dolby Labs and used some of their music know-how in this phone. Through headphones the sound is amazing, to me at least. The Dolby mode this thing has blows away the other "standard modes" the phone has. If I flash to cyanogenmod I will miss this, but maybe it is just as good. Time will tell. I am supposed to get my Nexus tablet tomorrow. If it doesn't connect to the wifi at work on Wednesday I will try to flash the phone to use its 3G connection while at work. If that doesn't work, the Nexus goes back to Google. I really do not want that, but if it doesn't actually work at work...

It never would sync properly, and I've had this phone for a while.
I had a memory card problem a few months ago, and lost all my pictures.

Now I loose all my contacts. Several times I've had problems with it, but not enough to get it replaced.

Next time I'll just chuck it under the truck tire and be done with it.

Makes me miss my Blackberry.

That sucks. I have four android devices right now, and they all sync perfectly. I have, as noted install cyanogen on all but the googletv.

It syncs perfectly now

When it wouldn't before, I just sort of ignored it. Got tired of messing with it.
I've dealt with the horrible battery life, times it would just randomly freeze, the many times I have had to re-install my Yahoo mail app.

Had to download the yahoo app because the phone would not stay synced to my email without it.

The gmail hasn't worked for a while, the phone updated and after that no gmail.
I've done little with it except the normal talk, text and internet browsing. Got tired of it just being a PITA.

I honestly don't want to drink the Apple Kool-Aid, as I have seen people have a lot of issues with that too.
Even tho I've had really good luck with my iPods and iTunes.

Probably the samsung galaxy siii. They also have the htc evo 4g lte which is pretty good.

People also seem to forget sprint also has the iPhone now if you decide android isn't for you.

The S4 will be coming out in Jan./Feb. I'm debating between waiting for that, or getting the note 2 now.

I also recommend the Galaxy S3.....superb phone.

I like alot of the Motorola phones at far as feaures and build......but the camera optics are subpar compared to other high end phones and to me one of the biggest features of my phone is the ability to take good pictures.

My girlfriend has the Galaxy Note 2 - its also an exceptional device.....but its a bigun' - kinda halfway between a tablet and a phone........I call it her phablet.......its got a big ass. Great to see.....and looks beautiful mounted on the bike as a GPS device.

Everything Ive read shows an April 13 release date.....and even thats fairly preliminary. Id say there is no way in hell it'll be out in Jan/Feb......Id guess May/June.

The good thing is, your damn motor can't read. If it says oil on the container, it's pretty much OK to dump in there.... ED.

I was going to go with an iPhone, but after honestly thinking about it my EVO 4G has not been that horrible.
Main bitch with it is the absolutely terrible battery life, I'm trying to make this battery last for a few more weeks.
This is new battery number 2.

If it's cold out it goes from charged to dead in less than 3 hours, if I don't use it.

A buddy went from Android to iPhone, for about a week. Hated it and traded for another Android.

Not interested in a phablet I'm sure they are great but not for me.
My phone lives in it's Otter Box, and without it wouldn't live a week where I work.

Thanks for the input, hate to get stuck with a stinker of a phone.
