![]() Boy it sure is hard to get a nearly 400 pound bike with a Dunlop 607 rear up an aluminum ramp.

Setting the record straight
The thread originaly was meant to be for bikes in truck beds, on top of cars, in trunks, ect...
Different ways of transporting a bike besides on a trailer. It was the alternative thread in which to post instead of posting your bike in back of a pick-up when indeed "that thread" was named, show us your bike on a trailer. It has grown however, and become acceptable to show bikes packed to the gills for a road trip for instance. And indeed, bikes that are towing trailers, a load in themselves, are now quite accepable. bring it on... 22many

Photo is about 7 years old now, but I still have and love the bike and truck. I was on the way home from picking it up, a 47th birthday present to me, from me, with love
![]() It sometimes gets used as a shuttle vehicle when we kayak - I drop the boats off at the put-in, then my wife watches them while I drive to the take-out and ride the bike back. I get the best of both sports all in one! ![]() I moved to Virginia from Wyoming almost exactly five years ago and had room to bring only two bikes, so I chose the GS and RT and sold three others. It was a trick getting two oilhead boxers on a 5X10 flatbed, but they did fit and I made the 2000 mile drive without any movement at all. ![]() Last stop at one of my favorite riding areas just outside of Lander, Wyoming: ![]() I miss my dirt bikes... ![]() Doug

Dad and I went up to Mammoth for an FZ1 ride around Yellowstone and such.
![]() You can fit two sportbikes in a F-150 shortbed supercrew...but the ramp barely fits between them.

Gas stop in Costa Rica, headed south. Other than the tires, everything's in the panniers and tank bag. I travel light.
