'03 is the same.

I can't believe that is a manual process. So lame and you have to do it with every fuel filter replacement.

The build is coming along nicely!

Yes, turbine powered forklifts.

Think on that for a while.
Thanks to the "single fuel" rule in the military there was a company making diesel powered KLR's for the Marines. Would love to get my hands one one, heard rumor that they would be available to the public at some point but have not heard anything.

Sorry for the hijack, but then again I bet many people following this thread are diesel nerds like me

I'm just gonna build my own, at some point. Gave up waiting.

My understanding was the diesel KLR (diesel motorcycle) program the military was using was cancelled a year or two ago.

..but that's ok, there's always Chuck

We have a blizzard with a couple of feet of snow attached rolling in.
I have the next 4 days off.

If the 950 wasn't in a bunch of pieces it'd be in the back of the Sprinter right now and I'd be rolling to Big Bend.

No offense, but I don't feel sorry for you. Not even in the slightest.

Thanks to your threads and pictures of various things in your garage, I have a set of Safari tanks on order, want to spend copious amounts of money on an Adventure Van, and I'm trying to convince my wife that we need to move to out West after we get out of school (she's looking at ranches in Montana, I'm thinking that and a bungelow on the Pacific Coast).

So, Mr. Geek, even though you will be shoveling snow in the land of dirt roads and aspens, I will be sitting at a computer.......

waiting on more pictures of the van.

That white stuff is the reason I've spent the morning remotely fixing servers that got power outtage'd overnight.

They've been saying up to another foot today.. but I don't see it unless another full blown wave is coming through.
It is pretty bright out right now.

Snowboarding tomorrow... it just happens the only ski resort that is really getting nailed with this storm (20 inches so far) is the one we have seasons passes to

You need to invest in some better redundant power (battery) strategy. We got plenty of diesel generators and diesel to keep our batteries charged to last us 6 months. But we also have to supply 500k sq feet of datacenter floor.
