This is how NOT to do it.

Riding (actually slithering) down into a rock strewn gulley at an off road park while solo is NOT the best idea. Coming out the other side and this happened.

Picking it up and getting it turned around was not easy.

After doing some hiking, I realized it was best to ride it out the way I rode in. The tall first gear coupled with the loose dirt, rocks, and Battlewings made it a challenge. I was darn lucky to make it out of there. This section is a challenge on a 450exc if you don't know the right line.

Why do the racks look like they are spaced way out. I guess the extra big ass saves the bike in those sleepy moments

Because Happy Trail makes them wide, but the upside is they do act as sort of a roll cage for the rear.

None, not even a scratch. By the time the nap occurred, the bike was sliding backwards with the back tire spinning.

That's good, I'm a little worried about the rear pegs myself

And it looks like it's working nicely with the Jesse racks ... okay. I'll look into that as soon as I'm able to ride again ...

Removed the plastic ammo boxes and replaced them with Hepcko Becker KTM 37 liter sidecases. New tires (Shinko 705's),fresh oil, new air filter and pre filter.
Leaving Wednesday for a couple weeks in Morocco to check out Rally Morocco 2012. When I get back leaving for Big Bend and the Grand Canyon and will get to test these bags out. Still in the package on Crsigslist for $500.

We're envious, we're booked for a two week bike trip to Morocco starting Nov 3 but no one else has signed up. Do you and your wife want to stay on for a couple more weeks?
