On a separate note, there is a very well farkled, lightly used Tiger 800 for sale at the Triumph dealer here in Anchorage. Nice fly n ride. Just throwing it out there for anyone on the 48 that want to ride Alaska, great opportunity.

Drunk Uncle- I need to make the the trip up to Alaska. I probably wouldn't come back.

@ Dubi-A - doesn't your luggage rear cross-brace block your lic. plate? Should it face down. Have mine in a box, just waiting for it to warm up here before I install, so just checking.

I purposely did this as I didn't like how far the bar hangs down. If I get static from LEO I will adjust but from normal vehicle height view you can see the plate. There are two types of HT rear bars that I have seen..

one looks like a: V
the other looks like a \_/

Actually, I don't really notice much difference. But I do get some that comes up through the forks past the triple tree. So I probably will have to mount something(a fender of sorts) to block that.. But I'm not gonna lie, I did it mostly because I like the way it looks.

Well, if we're talkin about my Tiger, i'm pretty much married to it. With the bank i've dropped on it, I definitely would lose in the divorce...
Case in point- Just bought some Globe Scout bags for it...sort of a beta test 3 way deal from ADV Depot who coincidentally are located not far from me...The boxes are absolutely incredible...pics and review to come..
