Show us your Tiger 800 XC pictures

Just picked up my XC tonight! traded in my 1050 that was a very good bike with 36k miles on it from new. I really love this bike. I am not losing anything in my opinion but gaining a lot more back road capability. Let the farkling begin! I have a top box I'll add along with a center stand and a better bash plate. No side panniers, I use a dry bag.

You know these Tigers, you have to tie them up or they do all sorts of crazy things. It does look the the dog chain has the Tiger chained down though...lol

Hey Meteos.

That is a Quill (UK Brand)
http://quillexhausts.com/evo2.htm

I am all about the note. I love a bike that sounds nice, throaty. In this case, the Triple howls!

Arrow seem to be the default for Triples here in Aus, but they have never really impressed me (just me), and I always like having something a little different to those around me.

The Quill is designed to fit stock with no mapping. As an experiment I allowed my local shop to run the Arrow map with this exhaust. Fuel range went to shite and there was NO noticeable power advantage. So I pulled it, and within a tank I was getting back to an extra 340-380km to the tank.

Is there a power increase? Maybe, not enough to notice. But I didn't buy this bike for "Power" or "Speed". I researched and tried to find as many video or sound files on the different slip ons. The Quill pops in downshift (and up shift at times), is throaty and without the baffle roars through tunnels. People stop and look (Thankfully not the boys in Blue yet).

So I guess for me it was a case of visual and aural cosmetics... Hope this helps.

CHAOS OUT!

Just put the new center-stand on and confirmed, it is indeed as hard to use as everyone says. Luckily, I was in the grass and my new racks didn't get shredded.

I had to tighten it down more then I wanted too. Try making a gasket out of AL foil

The foil is a pretty good idea. I need to get another clamp as I broke the stock one removing it.
