Back in the first weeks of this season, when everyone where I work was jumping on the Lions bandwagon, I said that I can see them going 9 and 7 maybe 10 and 6 and that would be a great season especially considering past years. I was called ignorant and a non-believer

and was told that not only would the Lions win their division but winning the superbowl was a real possibility. I refused to partake of this nonsense

and sadly I was right.

I know that the season is not over and that the Lions have been, for the most part, a much better team but winning the division and the superbowl? Well, not the division anymore and hopefully, they can make the playoffs. Maybe they were just having some growing pains, until the end of last season they didn't know what it was to win. But now I think we can have hope for the future of the Lions, something that wasn't always a possibility.

i think a coach that starts a fight after a game is a good indicator of where the trouble starts...

You're right, I'd kind of forgotten about that. It does show a lack of control on the coaches part. Bad example for sure. I was going to say that it seems to me that the team needs a player to step up and be a leader but the coach needs to do that first.

But I like to watch the Lions play. Stafford to Johnson is just a great combo.

It's a much funner team to watch than it has been in a long time. A couple of key acquisitions can make a huge impact, both in the talent department and in locker room leadership. Martin Mayhew may have been the solitary thing Millen had anything to do with that proves to be a good move. This is why I believe they are heading in the right direction and will continue to improve. They still have a long road ahead, though.

The HIONS should beat the Vikings at Home this Sunday and go 8 & 5.

They could win another road game - most likey the Chargers and end up 9 & 7.

Could just be enough to be a wild card and would be a Great Season regardless.

Agree that the front office is making a Positive difference = building a team that needs some growing up into a long term winner.

Kind of like the Red Wings, losers for some 50 years; Ilitch hires Devellano from the Islanders, builds the Wings into a Stanley Cup Championship team & since they have been repeat Champions or contender every year since
