Interesting NFL Facts:

Lions 1st team in NFL History to come from behind by 20 or more points in 2 successive games

Lions Calvin Johnson 1st Wide Receiver in NFL History to start a season with 2 TD passes in the 1st 4 games

Lions have 3 Road Wins this season = haven't won 3 road games in a season for decades

Tigers can close out the Yakees with a Win tonight in Comerica Park (Great game & Win last night)

Who would have believed any of this at the beginning of the year for either Team = even the diehard Detroit fans didn't

Great for a City that can use any Good News it can get

I'm happy for the Lions, but they will need to get off to a much faster start against Green Bay... and even Chicago if they hope to keep winning. The Pack still looks like the team to beat in the NFC-- and NFC North. Saints also look pretty good.

Detroit is fucked if they are playing a team that won't fold in the second half. Adjustments are one thing, and The Schwarz deserves credit for his, but Minneblowta and Dallas gave those games away. JMHO.

Monday night will be a HUGE game for the Lions. They're not as good as their record, but better than any Lions team since the Barry era.

Alright Detroit fans:

If you had to choose, would you rather have the Tigers win the World Series this year or have the Lions win a playoff game at home?

I'm going with the Lions winning a home playoff game, even if they lost the next one. It's been a long time since they won a playoff game, '91?

Tigers. World Series are nearly as rare as hen's teeth around here. Not as rare as a Lion playoff game, let a lone a win, but still. Lions are coming around and the prospect of a home playoff win is not so far fetched any longer. Hopefully.

Red Wings have spoiled the fans in this area. The expectation is a trip to the playoffs and anything short of the finals is a disappointment.

Pistons were a fun ride in '04, but then the fuckers let their egos inflate to the point of destroying the team, Joe didn't lay down the law and now most fans are pretty annoyed with them as a whole. Add to that the bullshit going on with "negotiations" between the rich players and the ultra rich owners and the average blue-collar fan in this area couldn't care less. Fuck those guys.
