When I've been in the market for a motorcycle, I always try to keep an open mind about finding the right bike for its intended purpose, and then looks, price, reliabilty, and all of that come after. But somehow, now I've ended up with three Suzukis in my garage. When I think back on the bikes I've owned since my first one ('92 Suzuki Bandit 400) up to my current fleet, I see that I have found a lot of Suzukis that meet my criteria at the time.
First of the current fleet is an 07 DL650 that replaced a 98 KLR. No comparison. Bought it in late '09 with 2400 miles, now has 19K. the photo is from a recent KC phototag. ![]() Next was something more off road capable than the DL or KLR. I seriously considered a KLX250 and WR250R. Then I found a deal on this 07 DRZ with less than 250 miles on it. I think that was in Sept '10. This photo was from the '12 Swinging Bridges Ride in Missouri. ![]() The most recent addtion is a 2011 TU250x. I really don't know why I bought it. I've always liked the vintage and retro bikes. It's really more fun than I expected. I thought maybe my stepson or someone visiting may need a loaner bike. I thought about making it a scrambler or cafe racer. I think I'll leave it alone for now. It was used at a MSF school for two seasons, but was considered new. It had 650 miles on it when I bought it a few weeks ago. I de stickered it, added the fork boots, and stuck the windscreen on it for the winter. ![]() Thanks, Ryan

I love my Suzuki because it is so well mannered and handles so well, that it finds itself at the perfect apex, no matter what I do!

My 2011 Suzuki Blvd S40 650. I got older and wanted a bike that was not heavy and low to the ground. I like the cruiser style bikes and don't mind the vibration as I rode Harleys for a lot of years.

The S40 looks great since they changed to the drag bars. Have you seen what Ryca is doing with those bikes?

Ryca is building cafe racers and scramblers using the S40 as a platform. They also offer do it yourself kits.

When I started this thread, these three Suzukis were my stable. Now I have none of these and only a DRZ, which is a really great machine. I regret most trading in the GSX650F, as I purchased it new and was only able to put 2050 miles on it before trading it in on a Tiger XC. The GSX is a smooth road machine.

This is the first Suzuki I've ever owned and after riding it for 3 years now, it won't be the last.
Absolutely amazing engine, particularly hauling the ultimate farkle on the side.

This photo shows my DR 350 (on the right) and one of my old ones (on the left) with it's new owner.
Love DR350's, best dual-sport bike ever imo ![]()
