My DR650 during a restoration last winter:
Packed for a road trip last summer (2009) ![]() The teardown begins... ![]() Time for open-heart surgery! (actually just doing a top-end gasket and valve seal replacement) ![]() About as 'nekkid' as it gets... ![]() And back from the powdercoater's with a shiny new black finish ![]() My dog Bruno giving the engine with its fresh top end the 'ol sniff test ![]() Engine back in the frame ![]() Looking like a bike again... ![]() After that, plastic & tank went back on, so it wasn't naked anymore - hopefully the handguards don't count as being too 'clothed' |

Honestly, I have no clue. Part husky or malamute for sure, as he has one pale-blue eye. He was a second-hand adoptee from the SPCA who was initially adopted by some friends of ours, but they soon discovered their son was badly allergic, so we took him in.

bruno
My second thought was some huskey mix. He may be an aussie though...
Aussie's can have any varience of eye color. Bruno looks to be a red merle male. The adults range from 55-65lbs in weight. His coat looks aussie as well. He has very good looks from what I can see. Back to the nudity... Saturday I began an engine swap on my 77 XSD. Ha, ha I forgot to take a pic with the motor out... But here she is with a 78 motor, then with her next runner, an 81. That's motor #4 in there since 84. Many miles on this frame as I have turned over speedos past 100,000. I don't rebuild them, I throw in low mileage replacement. Replacements are getting hard to find with the chopper/bobber craze in full swing. This 81 motor has 16,000 on her. ![]() ![]() I know, it's hard to tell the difference, but the 81 is cleaner.

There was a line in my lease banning working on vehicles on the premise, but I was all out of give-a-damn that day
