It will be interesting to see if that TKC helps eliminate the deceleration wobble...They work well for me.

I use these for the little lever action needed, or a piece of leather...

I would also watch the vids on the no-mare site on changing tires, they helped me as where to put and not put the lube on the wheel and tire... on a good day and depending on the tire, i can pop the fronts on with my hands with a properly lubed units... The goop they send is the ticket...

I installed my No-Mar Jr Pro today and did my first set of tires on it. I was SHOCKED at how easy this made it, and wonder why I didn't buy this two years ago. Last time I had this much fun with new tool was when I got my big Honda Snowblower that did my driveway way too quickly and I was looking for more....

I'm impressed with the quality of the JR PRO. I decided to go ahead and step up from the Classic and Cycle Hill models so I could do my car and garden tractor tires. It's a well-made unit, works as advertised, and they were very helpful on the phone with install tips. Garage space is tight, but I wanted to floor mount it, so they told me to keep it at least 3" off the back way and angle it 45 degrees so the right side was open as that's the primary work area. Worked like a charm and I have it coming off my back wall only 3' into the garage.

Recommended tool.

+1 on the new Motion Pro rim shields. I have some and they rock; much better than the old style clip ons.

Here's a video of doing it on a BMW wheel (Car). I think the size it can handle is dependent on which machine you have. Doubtful I can do my 19" x 10" Porsche wheels on it, but I bet I can do the Mazda 3 grocery getter ones.....

My No-Mar Pro will do wheels up to 24" dia. 16" wide and tires up to 35" tall.

I bent my mojo lever head bolt trying to get it under the first bead of a 175/65-14 tire.

good thing mitch sent me a new one for less than $10.

Breaking my 15" trailer tires were a little hard but car tires are easier than motorcycle tires to mount and dismount. Now getting them to seat a bead can be a pain.

Changed my first front tire on my new No-Mar Classic today.

I was skeptical before I started. Now I can't believe how easy it was. No more struggling with those damn Tourances on my spoked GSA wheels. Easy off, easy on; including checking the instruction video on the laptop a few times it probably took less than 10 minutes from breaking the bead to having the new tire on. So much better than the woodblocks + spoons I had used until now. I'm glad I have those skills in case I need them on the road, but at home I'm using the No-Mar

I go the hitch-mounted version. I thought it might flex too much, but it works just fine. I just need to be careful not too knock the window out of my cap when I move the arm up out of the way

What are you guys paying for your No-Mar's? The MSRP on the website is $1295.00. Are you getting better deals than that?. I was looking at a No-Mar as I am looking at starting a small bike shop. But then I started looking at one of these ( http://www.eautotools.com/R745-21-Ca...ger-p/r745.htm) and this gives me the ability to do car tires as well. There was also a motorcycle specific model ( Ranger TC-400), but for the few hundred difference I think I'll go with the R745 model. The turntable adapters for bike rims is an extra $300.

You must have been looking at the Pro model. I bought the classic, which is $645. I don't know how many tires you plan to change, or what diameters; those are factors that would affect your choice of changer IMO.

There's a pretty good comparison page here on No-Mar's site. I believe the FAQ also discusses car tires, and I know they change one in one of their videos.

If you plan to change lots of tires every day, you're probably better off with a powered professional changer. If not, a No-Mar would do IMO. It's not back-breaking work to change tires on the Classic.

An update to this thread....I've had my No Mar Junior Pro now for a couple months and done four wheels and tires on it. This tool makes tire changes laughably easy - I can't hardly believe how much so. Tonight I did a front tire on my Guzzi in less than three minutes total time. It takes longer to get the front wheel off than demount the old tire and put the new one on.

RECOMMENDED. Close to a must-have tool for serious cyclists.
